It’s not all about the suite…

October 8th, 2013

So you have had a new bathroom suite installed. The tiles are up. It looks fantastic! But doesn’t quite represent you yet.

There’s a lot to consider when adding the finishing touches to a bathroom. From soft furnishings to loo roll holders, the choice is immeasurably huge. So where do you start? The answer is radiators and/or heated towel rails. After the suite and the tiles, they will be your next biggest purchase. It is likely that you will keep your heated towel rails as long as the bathroom suite itself so the decision needs to be the right one.

Today I want to take a look at 3 very different looking heated towel rails from Onyx. Their range has something for everyone’s taste and budget so even if you don’t like my picks, I’m pretty sure there is something in their range that will fit your needs to a tee.

First up we have  the Larrisa.

Larrisa heated towel rail - Onyx Radiators

A perfect blend of contemporary and traditional styles

The Larrisa is a beaut. It’s a plain and simple statement about something that is anything but. It’s a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional styles and it looks amazing. It’s also pretty versatile, allowing for use with central heating, electric element or a combination of both. At an RRP of £551 it is towards the top end of the price ladder, but it also boasts a pretty huge heat output for its size, giving you more bang for your buck.

The Astra

Astra straight heated towel rail - Onyx Radiators

Shiny! The Astra’s stainless steel finish perfectly captures the light

It looks simple on first impressions, and that is exactly why it’s on this list. It is in all its shiny stainless steel glory, an understated heated towel rail design. But, in a minimalist styled bathroom I can think of no better choice. In fact, due to it’s style and finish, I would bet it would fit into any bathroom design and not look out of place. It’s cheap too, with RRP starting at £255 it caters to all tastes and budgets.

Balthazar

Bathazar traditional heated towel rail - Onyx Radiators

Balthazar. A strong name for a strong first impression

My personal favourite. Stylish. Elegant. Emphatic. There are so many words I could use to describe this heated towel rail. If you prefer that traditional look to your bathroom, there is no better addition than the Balthazar in my opinion. The white powder paint finish combined with the chrome rail makes this towel rail stand out. With an RRP of £446 it is edging into the northern half of the price range but it’s worth every penny.
